SUMMARY:Kootenai Creek Canyon
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, July 24th 8:00am -12:00pm \nJoin trip leader Chelsea Klocke for a birding hike along Kootenai Creek. We will meet at the Kootenai Creek trailhead at the end of N Kootenai Creek Rd\, just north of Stevensville\, at 8am (coordinates: 46.537942\, -114.150694). A vault toilet is available at the trailhead. Expect to hike out and back\, up to 5 miles round trip\, with an elevation gain of about 560ft. Species you may expect to see or hear include White-throated swift\, Swainson’s thrush\, Pacific wren\, and Steller’s jay. Please note that cell service is spotty to non-existent on the trail.
